The Toledo, OH. native was retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service He predeceased by his parents: Ellis Neval Akiki & Treva Jean daughters: Bambi Kynn Pennell & Susan Elaine Elliot, 2 brothers: Garvin Akiki& Richard Akiki.

Survivors are his wife of 31 years: Beverly Jane Akiki of Jesup. 7 daughters: Trena Jean Boyer of Sylvania, OH, Debi Lane Akiki Of Ciesliek of Spring Hill, Fla, Mary Ann Kocinski of Cleveland, OH, Donna Kay Freels of Toledo, OH, Phyllis L. Ryan of New York, Ellen Stevenot of New York, Debra Jane Booth of Jesup, Ga. brother: LaVerne Akiki of Sylvania, OH, 19 grandren, 15, great-grandchildren including 2 red headed boys which he dearly loved ( Kayne Michael & Landon Michael).

Memorials services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2011, Rinehart and sons Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Napper officiating.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. Tuesday from the funeral Home.
