Lewisville, Texas — John David Allen, 54, of Corinth, Texas, formerly of Ardmore, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, May 20, 2011, after a long battle with cancer.
John was born on November 30, 1956, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to Melvin Ray Allen and Ethel Louise Pruitt Allen.
He married Cindy Moore on March 18, 1977, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He worked as a Sr. Network Engineer with Ron Walker and Associates and was a member of First Baptist Church of Corinth.
He was a loving husband, devoted father, son, and brother and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Cindy; daughters and son-in-laws, Melissa and Devin Thetford, and Amy and Branson Reed; granddaughters, Kennedy and Landry Thetford; sisters, Della Sampley, Sandra Hudson, and Brenda Lindsey.
John was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Ray Allen and Glendal Allen.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2011, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. Following the funeral service, a graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
