He was born July 20, 1951, in Campbellsburg, Ky., the son of Albert Curtly and Alma Tackett Beach. He was raised near Campbellsburg, Ky., and had lived in Carrollton, Ky., before moving to Vevay in 1995. He was a core machine operator at Arvin Meritor in Carrollton, Ky., retiring in July 2009 after 27 years of service. He formerly worked at R.C. Tway in Louisville, Ky., for three years. He was a member of Abundant Life in Carrollton, Ky. He enjoyed motorcycles and car racing.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Lou Carmack Beach, whom he married Nov. 2, 1968; one daughter, Angie Haskell of Bennington; his parents, of Carrollton, Ky.; four sisters, Leona Henderson of Worthville, Ky., Joyce Burns of Carrollton, Ky., Gail Beach of Louisville, Ky., and Ida Adkins of Waverly, Ohio; one granddaughter; two step grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Wayne Beach.
The funeral was at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay. Burial was in Vevay Cemetery.
