May 27, 1955 – Mrs Lee Jones Dies in St. Louis
Mrs Maggie Neal Jones, a resident of Calico Rock for several years, but of St. Louis the past few years, died at the latter named place Sunday. She was the wife of Lee Jones. Mrs Jones was born and reared near Larkin. She was married to Lee Jones in 1929. Two children were born to this union, both of whom preceded their mother in death. She united with the Missionary Baptist Church at the age of 13 years. Surviving are four brothers, Amos and Denny Neal of Brockwell and Oliver and Willie Neal of Calico Rock; three sisters, Nettie, Brockwell, Kitty of Moxee City, Wash., and Edna, Corning, Ark. Funeral services were held at Larkin Church Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. W. C. Steward officiating. Burial was in Larkin Cemetery, Hall Funeral Service being in charge of arrangements. Pall bearers were: R. D. Neal, Vernon Neal, Layton Jordan, Floyd Jones, Calvin Jones and J. W. Neal.
