Born in North Sydney, Josephine was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Robinson) Bona. In her earlier years Josephine was employed at the Stella Maris Residence and later the Northside Community Guest Home. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, North Sydney. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who was devoted to her family and will be deeply missed by them.
She is survived by her daughter Cindy (George) Mullins, North Sydney; her two sons Jerry (Cathy) Bradbury, Millville and Don (Barbara) Bradbury, Hamilton; her precious grandchildren Shane and Kristin Mullins, Matthew, Miles and Nicole Bradbury and Melanie Bradbury; her brother George (Goldie) Bona, North Sydney and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Donald Bradbury; her sisters Madeline MacDonald, Helen Jardine, Marie Yetman and Eva in infancy; her brothers Joe, Arthur, William, Vic and Don Bona.
Visitation for Josephine will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. A Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jake Andrea officiating. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Sydney.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
