MRS. ARANT DIES OF HEART ATTACK
Mrs. Lena Arant was found dead in front of the H. H. Honeycutt residence early Wednesday morning, July 7, 1948. First seen by Bill Wren, employee of the United Gas Company, he stated that he had seen her pass earlier that morning and discovered he lying prostate on the sidewalk a short while later. Reporting the discovery to T. H. Rains, nearby filling station owner, Wren remarked that Mrs. Arant must have died about 10:30 am. Rains then reported the incident to the occupants of the H. H. Honeycutt home and upon examining Mrs. Arant found that she was already dead. The coroner was called immediately. Mrs. Honeycutt reported that Mrs. Arant was evidently returning from the grocery store, for she had been carrying a small bag of groceries.

The funeral will be held in the Pine Grove Baptist Church.
