Alcina Marie "Tina" Barton, age 66 of River Ridge, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at her residence in River Ridge.
Born Saturday, September 9, 1944 in Thibodaux, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Bruno Durocher and the late Rita Hebert Durocher. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Benny M. Barton.
Mrs. Barton never met a stranger and enjoyed prayer and sharing scripture with all those in need.
Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Michael Barton of Chattanooga, TN and Anthony Barton of League City, TX, daughter, Cynthia Barton-Ruiz of River Ridge, LA; 7 grand children; and 1 great grand child.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield, Louisiana. Interment will be in Brown Cemetery near Atlanta, LA.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, May 20, 2011, and on Saturday from 9:00 AM until service time at Southern Funeral Home.
