Nellie M. King, 74, 69 Veenstre Ave., Houston, Texas, died May 25, 1981, in Parkway Hospital there.
She was born in Groveton, Texas, on Jan. 9, 1907, the daughter of Lee and Ella Keels Ashworth. She was married to Esker King, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Bryant Gesford of Peru; a daughter, Joy Davison of San Diego, Calif.; three sisters, Effie Spence of Cleveland, Texas, and May Johnson and Callie Stokes, both of Lufkin, Texas; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Earthman's North Freeway Chapel in Houston, the Rev. Johnny Price officiating. Burial will be in Houston Westhaven Cemetery.
