Noted English Character Actor. He is best remembered for his role as Audrey Hepburn's father in Billy Wilder's "Sabrina" (1954). He also appeared in "Dial M for Murder" (1954), "To Catch a Thief" (1955), "D-Day the Sixth of June" (1956), "The Solid Gold Cadillac" (1956), "Witness for the Prosecution" (1957), "Double Trouble" (1958) and "Hot Lead and Cold Feet" (1978).
