His burial information is found in Early Settlers of New York State by Janet Wethy Foley. It says that his wife was Sarah A., daughter of Leonard and Maria Freeland, Aug. 12, 1811 - Oct. 31, 1863. Buried at Milford, Massachusetts. (Leonard Freeland and Maria Van Deusen, married in 1806 at Claverack, New York were my ancestors and I am descended from them through John Augustus Freeland, Sr. who was apparently the brother of Sarah. He was born in July of 1807.)

Peter Snyder and Sarah A. Freeland had a daughter, Annie E. Snyder, born about 1829 at Claverack, New York who was the first wife of the lawyer, Thomas Goddard Kent, in Milford, Massachusetts. Sarah Freeland Snyder died in Milford in late October of 1863 and her daughter died there in December of 1863.
