Byron Blaine Brown of Greeley, 76, died Aug 27, 1994 at North Colorado Medical center in Greeley. Funeral services were Wednesday, Aug 31 at Allnutt Funeral Services Macy Chapel. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorial gifts many be made to the Schaefer Rehabilitation Center in lieu of flowers.
He was born Jan, 21, 1918 in Afton, a son of Ruben A. and Elizabeth Ina Cranney Brown. He graduated from Star Valley High School in 1936, attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie and graduated from the University of Utah at Salt Lake City. He is a veteran of WWII serving in the army Air Corps. He worked for General Electric company for 34 years retiring in 1981 as a sales counselor.
He married Margaret Bachmann on June 29, 1946 in Walla Walla, WA. He moved to Greeley from Albuquerque NM in 1967. He was a member of the American Legion Post #211 in Denver. He actively supported programs for developmentally disabled, was a member of the association for community living and Greeley Alliance for Mentally Ill. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his wife Margaret Brown; two sons Mark and Scott Brown both of Greeley; one brother Ralph Brown of Albuquerque, NM; three sisters Helen Ziegler of Afton, Florence Lumley of Jackson and Jean McKnight of Layton, VT.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers La Dell Brown and De Orr Brown.
