ROBERT ASHWORTH,
A pioneer of Meigs county, died at his home near Rocksprings, Monday morning, at about 7 o'clock, at the age of about 80 years.
He had operated a tannery at the place for over 50 years, and was one of the most highly respected citizens of the county.
He leaves four sons and one daughter, viz: David Ashworth, of this county; R. H. Ashworth, of Colorado Springs, Colonel, Charles E. Ashworth, who resides at home; Augustus Ashworth, of Middletown, Ohio, and Mrs. Kate Haskins, who is now at home.
The burial takes place at Chester today at 10 o'clock.
