AMBURGY, W. Blaine age 80 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Tuesday evening, May 17, 2011 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. Born May 4, 1931in Booneville, Kentucky, Blaine was the son of Floyd and Jalah (Spencer) Amburgy and was a loving and devoted husband and father. Blaine grew up in Kentucky and in 1947 his family relocated to Warren County, Ohio. Blaine was a 1950 graduate of Lebanon High School and that is where he met his wife and soul mate Helen R. Heisel. Blaine and Helen were married June 4, 1960 and together, Blaine and Helen opened Helen's Hair Salon and American Travel Service in downtown Lebanon and later built many homes, apartments and duplexes in the Lebanon area. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Wayne, Kash, Marvin, Claude and Cotton Amburgy and sisters Lois bowman and Ilene Amburgy; Blaine leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 50 years Helen Amburgy of Lebanon, Ohio, daughter Alicia Ann Amburgy of Lebanon, Ohio; brother Ellis (Joan) Amburgy of Lebanon, Ohio; sisters Faye Roblin of Stanton, Kentucky and Kay Penwell of Trenton, Ohio; sister-in-laws Mary Lou, Betty and Gertrude Amburgy and many other family members and friends.
Pastor Anthony Blaine Wade officiating. Burial will follow in the Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, Ohio.
