MILL HALL, MAY 7-Mrs. Martha Jane PALMER, wife of Albert T. PALMER of this place, died this morning at 12:15 o'clock at the Lock Haven Hospital. Her death was due to complications following a major operation performed Wednesday.
She was 58 years of age, was born at Blanchard and was a life-long resident of this section. She was a member of the Methodist church for many years, was a member of all the church societies and took an active part in all church activities. She was also a charter member of Camp, No. 75, P.O. of A.
Five daughters also survive, Mrs. Joseph F TORSELL [Verna], this place; Mrs. Helen F. KISSINGER, at home; Mrs. Russell J. McINTIRE [Mary Emma] and Mrs. Harold L. NEWINGHAM [Nancy] of Holidaysburg, and Mrs. John Z. FREY [Lulu] of Lock Haven. Other survivors are two brothers and three sisters; Joseph BRIDGENS of Lewistown and James N. BRIDGENS, Mrs. Elmer TEVLING, Mrs. Guy STEVENSON and Mrs. Nancy E. SHAY of Mill Hall, also 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Methodist Church in charge of Rev. J. R. MELOY. Burial will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
