Patrick Sean McBride, 44, of Double Oak, Texas, and a Denton County resident of 29 years, passed away May 9, 2011 at his home with his wife, Shae McBride by his side. He was born in Reading, PA and spent his exuberant youth in the Lancaster, PA area. His family relocated to the Denton area in 1981, where he completed his primary education before going on to obtain an associates degree in nursing. He married Shae Elizabeth Feldmann in 2001 and together they set out to raise their five children.

Sean worked as an assistant on the Medical Unit at Lewisville Medical Center while attending nursing school. As a new nurse he did a brief stint as a dialysis nurse before joining Denton Regional Medical Center in 1994. He worked as a staff nurse on the Medical-Oncology Unit and became a primary charge nurse after Denton Regional relocated to its current campus. His caring and compassion touched the lives of many families, patients and coworkers during his tenure at the Denton Regional Medical Center.

He is survived by the love of his life, wife Shae Elizabeth, Children Patrick Kelly, Connor Sean, Leanne Marie, Allison Kate, and Jeremy Todd, of Double Oak, TX. His adored sister, Allyson Colleen Sellers, her husband Bill Sellers and his nephew William Pierce and niece Vivienne Colleen of North Dallas. His father, Patrick Michael McBride and his wife Amy of the Austin Area. His maternal grandfather, Juel H. Mosley of the Lewisville area, his mother-in-law Marjorie Feldmann of Georgetown. And many other extended family members. He leaves behind his beloved pets in the care of his family, Penny, Dutch, Sam, Daisy, Tooty, and Tucker. He was preceded in death by his mother, Diane Kay Mosley.

The family request that memorials be made to the Flower Mound Animal Services, 3950 Justin Rd., Flower Mound, TX 75028.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 13, 2011 at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors, 2025 West University Drive, Denton, TX 76201.
