Susie was the daughter of John and Sarah Jones. Her father John Jones was the son of John R. Jones and Ann Davis (Jones) and the brother of Susannah Jones (Evans). Susie married Harry Ernest Schwab on May 18, 1910 and had one child, Clarence John Schwab born 11 Oct 1911

My parents told me this story about Harry and Susie from when I was a baby in 1938.

Some friends, distant Colorado relatives (Harry and Susie Schwab – he was my father's 1st cousin 1x removed), stopped by while my parents were packing up. My mother said to them, offhandedly, "Don't you want to go with us?" Not really meaning it. Well. Fifteen minutes later Harry returned.

"Did you mean that," asked Harry? "Were you serious? Because if you are, my wife WOULD like to go with you." I didn't know what to say. We traveled with the baby carriage in the back seat so that Rosalie Ann (me) could sleep or play. I had fixed a mirror (cars didn't have visor mirrors then) so I could look in the back and see if she was asleep without her knowing. But I said she could come — and she was actually helpful after all, checking on the baby, keeping her covered, and she was very pleasant, accommodating, and self effacing.
