David Rae Blair, 64, passed away Monday, May 16, 2011. Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church Arlington. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Arlington Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boy Scouts of America or charity of choice. David was born Dec. 17, 1946, in Waxahachie. He owned and operated P&D Hay Farm in Tyler, was active in Boy Scouts as a scout and scout leader and was a charter member of Pantego Lions Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.G. Blair and Annabelle, and Weldon and Eva Rae Blair; and son, Tommy J. Bailey. Survivors: Wife, Penny Blair; daughters, Cheryl Blair and Sondra Owens; grandchildren, Joshua Moore, Sandra Cruz, Stephanie Cruz, Stacie Cruz, Hunter Owens and Cutter Owens; great-grandchild, Xavier Torres; sister, Cindy Kiblinger and husband, Doke; brother, Joe Blair and wife, Mildred; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
