Born in Morgan County, May 7, 1886, son of Samuel and Mary Weber Cain, he had worked for the telegraph camp and later farmed in the Highland community.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Claudie Hovermale Cain; four sons--Oscar and Ray Cain, Berkeley Springs; Ralph and Joe Cain, Martinsburg; two daughters, Mrs. Julia Clark, of Berkeley Springs, Mrs. Nellie Lutman, Hancock, Md. nine grandchildren and one brother, Will Cain, Berkeley Springs.
The body was removed from the Hunter Funeral Home Sunday to the Highland E.U.B. Church for services at 2 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Charles VanGilder. Burial was in the church cemetery.
