Mary Halley Stocks born July 21 1820 in Myramailen, Cadder, Lanark, Scotland to James Halley and Isabella Murray Halley of scotland. She Married Henry Stocks on July 21 1843 in St Elphin's Warrignton, Lancashire, England. To there Union was 10 children, of whome only 6 reached maturity.

In Feb 1855 Henry, Mary and there children crossed the plains on the "Milo Andrus Company".On October 24, 1855 the family arrived in Salt Lake Valley. The winter fallowing there arrival was hard, and some of the children had to go to work to help provide food for the family.
The chuch advised them to move to Manti when Henry Stocks became ill, From there, they were sent to Kanab, but were forced by Indians in the area to leave, Finaly, they arrived in Rockville where Mr. Stocks' health failed.
Mary Stocks Died on March 8, 1906 in Hinckley, Millard, Utah.
