LAMBERT FUNERAL SET FOR MONDAY
Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Lambert, pioneer Bismarck woman, will be held at St. Mary's church, Monday at 8:30 a.m.
Mrs. Lambert died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles F. Clay, at Montevideo, Minn.
Born in Kenosha, Wis., 81 years ago, Mrs. Lambert came to Bismarck in 1873 at a time when it was a small frontier settlement. She took up her residence with her husband on a site which was situated just south of where the S. W. Corwin estate now stands. They moved later to a house which stood at the corner of Main and Sixth streets. Her husband was a freighter, hauling merchandise overland by wagon to the Black Hills of South Dakota.
Mrs. Lambert leaves a sister, Mrs. R. Sullivan, New Orleans, and three daughters and a son. Children are S. F. Lambert, Bismarck; Mrs. Charles F. Clay, Montevideo, Minn.; Mrs. M. A. Spooner, Minneapolis, Minn.; and Mrs. D. C. McLean, Coronado, Cal.
Interment will be made at St. Mary's cemetery.
