The Presbyterian church was filled Wednesday, with the friends of the departed Shed Lambert, who came to look for the last time upon the well-known face, and to bid him a last, sad farewell. The Rev. I. O. Sloan of Glencoe, delivered a feeling address, touching upon the dead man’s life, his sudden death, and the existing necessity for those who remain to prepare to follow him. After the sermon, the friends of the departed were invited to look at him, as he lay in repose in the funeral casket. This done the long procession of friends followed to the Fairview (note: the correct cemetery is Saint Mary’s) cemetery, where the remains were interred.
