Wallace D. Gandy, of Victoria, passed away Monday, May 9, 2011 at the age of 77. He was born in Morales on May 4, 1934 to the late Russell and Laura Laughter Gandy.

Wallace was a member of the Victoria Masonic Lodge daughters, Donna Lynn Dunn of Denver, Colo., Rachelle Calhoun of Grape Vine, and Brenda Schaver of Katy; son, Danny Zent of Wimberley; sister, Sybil Harris of Brookshire; and brothers, Roland Gandy of Tomball, Sidney Gandy of Sealy, and Earl Gandy of Nursery. He is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Wallace was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Karen Sue Gandy; and brothers, Harvey Gandy and Otto Gandy.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2011, at Oaklawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Oaklawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Flournoy Cemetery, Morales. Rev. George Thompkins will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be William Dunn, Leland Schroeter, Cory Zent, Logan Zent, Matthew Shaver and Mark Shaver.

Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Gandy, Jason Gandy and Lofton Kline.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Shriner's Hospital for Children, Attention Donations, 6977 Min Street, Houston, TX 77030.
