The son of James Callaway Jones and Nancy Matilda Acuff. He was united in marriage to Dora Miranda Jackson on Feb. 24, 1901. He was killed in a card game in Hollister, Missouri. He was hit over the head with a beer bottle. His grandkids loved him a lot. They called him "Pappy Jones". He always had a nickle for the grandkids to spend.
