He is survived by three children: Jan, Ted and Stott, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also survived by his brother, Kent (Jenece) Howard; Elko, Nevada.
Willis was preceded in death by his parents, Byron Howard and Nida Grange Howard; sisters, Clara Howard Bagnell, Jessie Howard Barney, Flora Howard Bardwell, Nida Mae Howard Jensen; brothers, Byron Allan Howard, Bruce Howard and twin brother Wilford Clark Howard.
He was a World War II veteran and served his country honorably in both the Special Forces and Navy.
Willis was a gifted mechanic, metal artist, devoted Jazz fan and fierce patriot. He was well known for his generosity, excellent sense of humor and colorful sayings.
We will miss him greatly and think of him whenever we hear that Big Band sound, see a pair of cowboy boots or sleep in after 0500 hours.
