Mrs. John Cross, 81, of 457 N, Terrace St., a Janesville resident for the past, six years, died at 5:15 a.m. Sunday in a local nursing home. She had been ill for three months.
Mrs. Cress, daughter of A. F. F. Jensen and Hulda Small Jensen, was born in Dorchester, Wis., Feb.3, 1875. She was married to John Cress Nov. 14, 1897, at Phillips,Wis. They lived in Phillips until 1914 when they moved to Rothschild,
Wis. Mrs. Cross was a member of Wausau Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband;three daughters, Mrs. Joseph Connors and Mrs. Dallas Topliss, both of Janesville, and Mrs. Guy Hamilton,Orlando, Fla.; three sons,John E., of Janesville, Ward, of Orlando and Kingdon, of Grand Rapids, Minn.; five brothers, Fred and Andrew Jensen, both of Janesville,Roy Jensen, Ashland, Walter and Oscar Jensen, both of Dorchester; one sister, Mrs. Charles
Weston, Reedsburg; 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Reining Funeral Home, the Rev. Donald Young,Cargill Methodist Church, officiating.Burial will be in Oak Hill
Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening.
