Charles William "Chuck" McPhail, Sr.,49,a retired farmer, died Friday, March 14, 2008 at home in Simpson Co. MS.
Chuck loved his children dearly and his mother, whom he adored. He was an outdoorsman having worked on land and offshore oilrigs and having a liking for mechanics, farm equipment and a little welding. He loved working with cattle, farming, hunting and fishing. He was also an avid stock trader, keeping up with the stock market almost daily.
He Married Sylvia Ann Jones of Simpson Co. on Feb. 20, 1988 and divorced May 5, 1999 in Simpson Co. MS
He was preceded in death by parents, Robert W. McPhail, Sr. and Annie Lou Scoggins McPhail and his only son, Charles William "C.W." McPhail, Jr.
Survivors include his only daughter, Brittany Faith McPhail of Braxton, older brother, Robert Wilford McPhail, Jr. of Florence, younger sister Vicki Ann McPhail Craft Hauer of Flomaton, Alabama, nieces, Annie Lucile McPhail of Florence, Jessica Nicole Craft of Flomaton Alabama, a nephew, Justin Donald Craft of Pearl Ms, and other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation is Tuesday, March 18, 9;00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall with burial in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, on Old Pearl Road in Simpson Co., just outside of Florence, Mississippi.
His daughter, Brittany had his 1st granddaughter, Serenity Hope McPhail on December 1, 2008 at St. Domonic Hospital but due to a host of complications, that sweet babygirl, went to heaven on January 19, 2009.
She is buried beside her grandfather, Chuck and her uncle, C.W. McPhail.
