HENRIETTA, Texas — Joyce (Cozart) Arnold, 99, of Bedford, Texas, formally of Henrietta, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, in Bedford, Texas.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2011, at the Pleasant Mound Freewill Baptist Church in Buffalo Springs, Texas, with Rev. Bill Waller, pastor officiating and Pastor Joseph Chang and Pastor John Ostoich of the Church of Light and Salt in Hurst, Texas, assisting. Burial will be in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Buffalo Springs, Texas, under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta, Texas.
Mrs. Arnold was born on November 6, 1912, in Buffalo Springs, Texas, to George W. and Beulah (Tekell) Cozart. She married Hunter John Arnold on November 22, 1940, in Arnett, Oklahoma. Mrs. Arnold was a retired School Teacher and was a member of First Baptist Church in Henrietta.
Mrs. Arnold was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hunter John Arnold on June 5, 1979; and one sister, Fairy Hankins of Bowie, Texas.
Survivors include one son, Joe B. Arnold of Bedford, Texas; a special friend, Jewell Wakefield of Bedford, Texas; three nephews, Lynn Arnold of Fort Worth, Texas, Mike Hankins of Bowie, Texas, and Gene Hankins of Victoria, Texas.
Memorials may be made to the Buffalo Springs Cemetery Association, c/o Jane Browning, 4465 Liberty Road,Bellevue, Texas, 76228.
The family will be at Davis Funeral Home on Friday evening, November 11, 2011, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
