Irene Neal Tichenor,89,of Fort Wayne, Indiana , formerly of Centertown died April 20, 2001, in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana.
The Hopkins County native born June 23, 1911 was a homemaker, a member of the Centertown Baptist Church and Charter Member of the Welborn Lee Ashby Post 296 of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary. She was the wife of the late Matthew Doward Tichenor, daughter of the late Frank and Della Mildred Brashear Neal, sister of the late Birdie Mae James, Thelma Alberta Brown, Beatrice Clark, William L. "Bill" Neal, Roy Lee Neal and grandmother of the late Linda Vandiver Bailey.
Funeral will be April 22 at the Centertown Baptist Church, Third and Plum Streets, Centertown, with interment at Centertown Cemetery. Duke-Bevil Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include a daughter, Anna Faye Vandiver of Island; two sons, Terry Lee Tichenor Daytona Beach, Florida and Vernon Marce Tichenor of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; a sister, Audrey Dell Morris of Island and ; two brothers, Albert Franklin Neal of Greenville and R.C.
