John ''Bob' Roland, 65, of Portage Lakes passed away on March 24, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Bob served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and retired from Barberton Babcock & Wilcox.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, John and Laverne Roland and father-in-law, Ellis Syx. He is survived by his wife, Pat (Syx) Roland; children, Tracy (David) Bloom, Jennifer (Milton) Morales and Jamie (Kevin) Petree; grandchildren, Spencer, Morgan, Olivia and Camden; sisters, Libby (Bill) Fisher and Patty Roland; nephew, Allan and niece Sarah; mother-in-law, Doris Syx and the Syx family.
