Dosia married Willima Seigal Brown in 1883. They were the parents of 4 sons ; Charles, Everett, Alonzo and William and 4 daughters; Mattie, Mary, Nellie and Eva. Mattie died at the age of 4 months and daughter Eva was born December 28,1901 and died 16 months later on May 18, 1903.
