Eunice Viola was the daughter of Charles Patty and Sarah Marks. She was born in Sept of 1861 in Edgar Co Illinois, three years before her father died in the Civil War. She first married John James Smiley at the age of 18 in Coles Co Illinois. They were the parents of one daughter, Jessica Eula who married Oliver Wallis. At the age of 35, Eunice married Frank O. Anderson in Danville, Illinois. She died at the age of 67 in Laramie, Wyoming.
