Mary Enneking was born June 28, 1885 in New Munich Stearns County, Minnesota - the first child of Bernard and Catherine (Renneker) Enneking.

On June 19, 1906, at the age of 21, Mary Enneking married Bernard Koch in Melrose, Minn. It was a Double Wedding Day for her sister, Elizabeth Enneking, married Jake Stein on that day too.

Mary and Bernard moved to a farm three miles northeast of Melrose and started building the Koch family. They were great builders for the union produced 12 children, which are:

- Johann Koch.
- Hilda Koch.
- Al Koch.
- Lawrence Koch.
- Loretta Koch.
- Ray Koch.
- Clara Koch.
- Valeria Koch.
- Norbert Koch.
- Winnifred Koch.
- Rose Koch.
- Bernard Koch.

The birth of the 12th child was difficult and on August 24, 1930, a new Bernard "Bernie" Koch started his life and Mary (Enneking) Koch completed her life. She died from eclampsia and nephritis at the age of 45 years, leaving 11 young children and a new born son.

Mary Koch is buried in Row 7 of Section C in St. Mary's Cemetery in Melrose, Minnesota.
