Kendall was the youngest of four children born to Elton Tom Cornelius and Celdah Zell Beckham.

Funeral Services for Kendall Cornelius, 64, of Brownwood, Texas, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011, at the Heartland Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Zephyr Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. He passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011, in Brownwood. Kendall Beckham Cornelius was born on Nov. 9, 1946, in Brownwood to Elton Thomas and Cedah Zell Beckham Cornelius. He lived the majority of his life in Zephyr until moving to Brownwood in 2008. Kendall graduated from Zephyr High School in 1965, served in the Texas National Guard from 1965-1971 and retired from 3M Company after 36 years of service. He was married to Janette Reiger on Aug. 12, 1966, in Zephyr. He served on the Zephyr School Board for 15 years, was a member of the Brownwood Masonic Lodge #579. Since retiring, he had enjoyed going to flea markets and working in his shop.
