Rita Moreno Belasco was born May 24, 1922 in Moctezuma, Sonora, Mexico and was called to her heavenly home on April 27, 2011, where she is united with her beloved husband, Cruz Belasco, sons Miguel Moreno, Tony Belasco, and her loving mother, Guadalupe Barcelo.

Rita lived in Douglas, Arizona, for the majority of her life and was very involved in parish life at the Immaculate Conception Church. She was very well known for her tamales and very much loved by the community. Rita was an incredibly kind and loving mother and will be profoundly missed by her seven children and their spouses: Mary Belasco (Lisa), Cruz (Terri) Belasco, Lupe (Fernando) Nido, Susan (Michael) Swindle, Beatrice Burks, Roman Belasco (Nellie), Carolina (Humberto) Acosta. She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren as well as numerous nephews, nieces and friends, and cherished caregiver, Silvia Reyes.

The lord Jesus was the center of her being, he graced and sustained her as she met life's rewards and challenges. Rita was an angel and a generous friend to countless people. Many who met her felt as if they had known her forever.

Visitation was held at Brown-Page Funeral Home on May 1st from 2pm-6pm followed by a rosary service at 7:30pm. A Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated on May 2nd at 10:30am at Immaculate Conception Church followed by graveside services at Calvary Cemetery, her final resting place. Mass services in her honor were held at Immaculate Conception Church at 9am beginning on May 5th, 2011 and ending on May 9th. The family would like to express their thanks to Casa De La Luz Hospice, and all the family and friends for their thoughts, prayers, condolences, flowers and food.
