Deceased Name: Alda Leona Robinson DeMaio
FILLMORE--Alda L. Robison DeMaio, age 86, died June 30, 1996 in the Fillmore Hospital.

She was born June 10, 1910 in Fillmore to Franklin Alonzo and Lois Thorpe Robison. She was the youngest of 10 children. After graduating from school in Fillmore, she moved to California to pursue a career in nursing. There she met and married Jerry Van Winkle. He died a few years later. She then married Thomas Cahoe by whom she had a daughter, Nancy Carol Cahoe, born on Dec. 11, 1943. She also had two granddaughters, Lori and Kim Holmes. At the age of nine, Lori was killed in an automobile accident. Nancy also died a few months later of injuries sustained in the same accident. After the death of her second husband, Alda met and married Victor DeMaio. Together they owned a restaurant and were involved in real estate. After 18 years they divorced and Alda moved back to Fillmore where she remained until her death.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Kim (Jesse) Mejia; great-grandchildren, Jesse, Josh, and Desiree, all of Calif. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 2, 1996 at 11 a.m. in the Olpin Mortuary Chapel in Fillmore, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial in the Fillmore City Cemetery.
