Barbara M. Brockman, 80, Warrensburg, died Sunday, Nov.24, 2002, at the Warrensburg Manor Care Center.
She was born June 24, 1922, in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of Harper F. Zoller and Lavina Minor Zoller.
She was married for 31 years to Robert O. Brockman. They were married Aug. 6, 1943 in Gaylord Mich.
Mrs. Brockman was a graduate of Cooley High School in Detroit and had attended Stephens College in Columbia where she studied music.
She had worked as a sales person in retail stores, including at Russell Brothers for 20 Years.
She attended the Methodist church and was a member of the Rainbow Star and was a Life Master in bridge.
Survivors, Mrs. Mike (Virginia "Ginny") Bruch, Mrs. John(Kandy) Edwards, and Mrs. Lewis (Linda) Lockard, all of Warrensburg; one brother, James Zoller, Omaha, Neb.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Bobbie Elwell, on March 17, 2002, and a brother Harper F. Zoller, in World War II.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, at the Sweeney-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg, with Rev. Alex Wales officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers are Mike Bruch, Chad Edwards, John Edwards, and Lewis Lockard. Honorary pallbearers are Stacy Dunn, Gregg Edwards, Kristopher Lockard, and Bobby Zoller.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.
