Irene M. Fitch McClure, 86, a Porter resident the past six years, formerly of Valparaiso, passed away Sunday, January 18, 1998 at Chesterton Health Care Center.
She was born May 18, 1911 in Sparta, MI. the daughter of James Ault and Nora (Hawkins) Holaday. She had attended Porter United Methodist Church, was formerly a member of Valparaiso First United Methodist Church and attended the Banta Senior Center.
In 1931 she married Ephraim Fitch who preceded her in death in 1973, in 1991 she married Paul McClure who survives along with four children, Claire Zimmerman of Bourbonais, IL., Arlene "Lee" (Wayne) Elliott of Valparaiso, Walter Fitch of Anderson, IN. and Rev. Sharon (David) Peters of Silver Spring, MD; two step-daughters, Gloria (Alan) Fancher of Chesterton and Alice (Wayne) Gland of Nebraska; one sister, Patricia McNulty of California; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11 A.M. at the Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso, IN., Rev. Douglas Barber officiating, with burial at Graceland Cemetery.
