Sue Emma Metcalf Cannon, 67, of 87 Elkwood Avenue, Asheville, N.C., died Tuesday, November 24, 1970 in an Asheville hospital after a long illness.
She was a native of Madison County, N.C. and had lived in Buncombe County for the past 33 years. She was a member of Little Creek Baptist Church and a retired employee of Burlington Mills.
She was survived by her husband, John West Cannon; a sister, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 27, 1970 in the chapel of West Funeral Home. The Revs. Charles King and Wayne Randolph officiated. Pallbearers were Bob Adams, Furman Fox, Harvey Cannon, Kenneth Cannon, Junior Carver and Boyd Metcalf. Burial was in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
