Mrs. Orpha Zent, 87, died Tuesday [28 Oct 1952] evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Ladd, of Warsaw. She had been ill for eight weeks. She was born in Kosciusko county Aug. 28, 1865 to John L. and Emiline (Hatfield) Anderson. She was a resident of Palestine for many years. She was a member of the Palestine Christian Church. The husband, John Zent, preceded her in death in 1944. A daughter also preceded her in death.
She is survived by the daughter, Mrs. Lena Ladd, Warsaw; one son, Lloyd Zent, west of Mentone; one sister, Mary Zent, of Etna Green; two brothers, Harvey Anderson and Noah Anderson, of near Bourbon; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Friends may call at the Reed Funeral Home after 9:00 p.m. Thursday until time of the service. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Palestine Christian Church. Burial will be in the Palestine cemetery.
