Tom Rice
CENTERVILLE- Tom Rice, 71, R.R. 1, Pottershop Road, died Thursday morning t Reid Memorial Hospital following a lenghty illness. He was a native of Owlsey County, Ky., and a former resident of Dayton, before moving here eight years ago. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the Centerville Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie E., four daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Ellis and Mrs Robert Begley, both of Centerville, Mrs Charles Nale of Spiceland and Reva Toney of Richmond; three step-sons, Billy Gene Watson, William M. Watson and John Edward Watson, all of Dayton, Ohio; one sister; four brothers; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services for Mr. Rice will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Centerville Church of Christ, 117 W. North St., with Wilburn Bowling and Ted Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Abington Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Welfer-Mills Funeral home, Centerville.
