Caribou and Castle Hill - Milford W Carmichael, 69, died March 15, 1983, at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born Dec. 20, 1913, at Wade, son of Whitman and Ora (Miller) Carmichael.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie (McEachern) Carmichael of Caribou; five sons, William of New Sweden, Milford Jr. of Houlton, Marshall and Rodney, both of Mapleton, and Harley of Castle Hill; four daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Verna) Libby of Richmond, Annette Libby of Osheen, FL, Mrs. Arnold ((Norma Jean) Sharp of Mapleton, and Mrs. Raymond (Linda) Tarbox of Washburn; one brother, Harley of Unity; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas (Alice) Churchill and Mrs. Harold (Beulah) Churchill, both of Wade; 46 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be conducted at Graves Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Friday with Rev. Roger Jewell officiating. Spring interment will be in Southside Cemetery, Mapleton. (Bangor Daily News)
