Dema C. "Donie" Overfield, 78, of Memphis, Missouri, died November 17, 1993 in the Scotland County memorial Hospital, Memphis, Missouri.

She was born November 11, 1915, near Wyaconda, Missouri, to Lewis and Alta Billings Bertram. She was a graduate of Wyaconda High School.

On December 25, 1937, she married Robert E. Overfield at Memphis, Missouri. He preceded her in death of February 16, 1993. Also preceding her in death were a brother, Richard Bertram and a sister, Rilla Mae Ludwick.

She and Robert farmed in rural Scotland County for 37 years. For a time she worked as a nurse's aide at the Scotland County Memorial Hospital, Memphis, Missouri with the exception of a year spent in Kansas, she was a lifelong resident of this area.

Donie is survived by one son, Robert E. Overfield, Jr. and wife, Debbie of Hannibal, Missouri; two grandsons, Nathan and Garon of Hannibal, Missouri; one sister, Della F. (Dolly) Harper of Memphis, Missouri; nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Funeral services were held at the Memphis Funeral Home on November 19, 1993, with the Rev. Charles Hammack officiating. Organist was Joan Goosey. Vocalists were Gene and Linda Gray. Burial was in the Lawn Ridge Cemetery in rural Scotland County, Missouri. Casket bearers were Phil Duley, Win Hill, Ron McElhinney, Dick Harper, Jerry Johnson, and Joe Ludwick. An expression of sympathy may be given to the Scotland County Memorial Hospital
