He was born in Mooresboro, and was the son of the late Raymond Leonard and Georgeanna Whitener Queen. He was a retired career U.S. Air Force medic and a member of Jones Memorial United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Arthur and Everett Queen; and two sisters, Monie Cashion and Ethel Jones.
Survivors include three brothers, James Queen of Auburndale, Fla., George Queen of Phoenix, Ariz. and John Queen of Mooresville; and a sister, Hallie Grant of Greenville, S.C.
