Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oelwein with Rev. Harry Koelker officiating. Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Lori Lynn Leo was born on June 19, 1958 in Oelwein, Iowa, the daughter of Nick Leo & Evon Mae (Kappmeyer) Leo. She graduated from Oelwein Community High School and Pitzie's Beauty School in Waterloo. Lori moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where she worked in clothing and jewelry retail stores for a number of years before she returned to Oelwein. In Oelwein, Lori was a waitress and bartender for several area businesses and also managed apartments for Bud Lyons. Lori had shared her life with Dick Steele for the past 16 years. They were married on September 5, 2008 in Oelwein, Iowa. Lori was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending her time with her family, especially the grandchildren. Lori was a very colorful person whose presence will be missed by all who knew her.

Lori is survived by her Husband: Dick Steele of Oelwein; Mother: Evon Leo (Bob Rogge) of Oelwein; Brother: Mike (Lori) Leo of Oelwein; Sister: Angie Leo-Johnson of Oelwein; 5 Nieces & Nephews: Frank Leo of Marion, Natalie Leo of Oelwein, Derek Leo of California, Kacie Leo-Johnson of Oelwein & Kylie Leo-Recker of Oelwein; 3 Step-Children: Scott (Sandy) Steele of Iowa City, Jennifer (Jason) Lang of Dyersville & Tim (Amy) Steele of Cedar Rapids; 4 Step-Grandchildren: Savannah, Hannah & Harrison Steele and Ella Lang.

She was preceded in death by her father, 2 brothers: Robbie Leo & Rick Leo and a sister in infancy: Sherry.
