CURTIS GLEN BURRELL

Services for Curtis Glen Burrell, 70, 1007 Muir Ave., Rock Springs, were conducted Wednesday, Sept. 22 at the Vase Funeral Chapel. Bishop Clarence Potter of the LDS Church officiated.

Burial was in the Mountain View Cemetery.

Bill Conklin, Bruce Conklin, Keith Crofts, Curtis Crofts, Matt Pasin and Shane Burrell, all grandsons of Mr. Burrell, served as pallbearers. John Burrell served as an honorary pallbearer.

Mr. Burrell died Sunday, Sept. 19 at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County where he was a patient for one day.

A resident of Rock Springs since 1926 and former resident of Brigham City, Utah, Mr. Burrell was born in Brigham City, Utah on February 19, 1912, the son of the late William Elias and Lula Dora Benson Burrell. He attended schools in Brigham City, Utah and Rock Springs and was a graduate of the Rock Springs High School with the class of 1931.

Mr. Burrell married the former Margruitte Wilson in Rock Springs Sept. 25, 1937. He worked as a plaster contractor in Rock Springs for over thirty years and was a retired custodian at Yellowstone School. Mr. Burrell was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include his wife, Margruitte of Rock Springs; one son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Burrell of Kemmerer; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Conklin of Salt Lake City, Utah, Mrs. Gary (Wilma) Crofts of Layton, Utah and Mrs. Tony (Peggy Ann) Pasin of Orem, Utah; a brother, Parley Burrell, Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Maureen Fearn, Rock Springs; 16 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Burrell was preceded in death by one brother, Jack, and one daughter, Charlene, who died in infancy.
