DAYTON BILLUPS DIES AT HOME NEAR EDINA
Edina, Mo., April 26—Dayton Billups died Monday afternoon at his home six miles southeast of Edina. Death was caused by cancer of the stomach and he had been in declining health the past few months. He was 70 years old. His wife preceded him several years ago and several children mourn his loss.

Dayton B. Billups, 71 years old, a farmer of Knox county, living south of Edina on the C. R. Grigsby farm, died Monday after an illness of about four years. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Baptist church in Knox City by Rev. L. M. Cooper, and burial was in the cemetery there. He is survived by his wife and five daughters: Mrs. William McGraw, of east of town; Mrs. Rufus Burkhart and Mrs. Charles McKenzie, of Knox City; Mrs. Mart Raine, of Coal City, Illinois, and Mrs. J.F. Stephenson, formerly of Edina, who now lives at West Plains, Missouri. Twenty grandchildren, a great granddaughter, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Perry, of Knox City, and another living at Canton, also survive. Mr. Billups had lived in Knox county for many years, but was born in Scotland county. He was married to MUs Sarah aJne [sic] Billups. To them were born seven children, a son dying in infancy and those mentioned. — Edina Sentinel.
