Joseph P. Appler, for the last 20 years engaged in the bottling business, died at his home, 522 Blandine street, Tuesday from the after effects of an attack of pneumonia last February.
Mr. Appler was born in this city October 31, 1868, a son og Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Appler of 705 Mandeville street. He was educated in St. Joseph's parochial school, and for many years followed the trade of oilcloth printer. For the last 20 years he was engaged in a bottling business at 532 Blandine street. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church and of the Holy Name Society of that church. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Utica Lodge, No 430, and of the Bavarian Sick Aid Society. He was married with Maria Hughes, February 17, 1896. Besides his wife he is survived by four sons, Joseph of Bradford, Pa.; George, Edward and Ray of this city; two daughters, Mary and Martha; his parents, two brothers, John and Matthew, and two sisters, Martha Appler of this city and Mrs. Frank Nicholson of New Hartford.
