Blocher - On the 1st of June, 1896, near Wakarusa, Ind, of heart failure, Christian Blocher, aged 59 years, 5 months and 16 days. He was born in Erie Co, NY, Dec 15th, 1836.
He was united in marriage to Susanna Martin, June 18th 1865. In the same year he moved to Elkhart Co, Indiana, where they since lived.
He leaves a deeply sorrowing companion, four children, four grandchildren, a brother and sister to mourn his death. He was buried at the Olive M H, on the 4th, where services were conducted by John F Funk and Amos Mumaw - from 2 Cor 5:1. The funeral was largely attended.
