Mrs. Nina Hazlewood Kennedy, age 89, of West Point, died Wednesday, May 5, 1993 at Clay County Medical Center in West Point. Funeral services were held Friday, May 7 at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Palo Alto Cemetery with the Rev. Avery Jones officiating.

A native of the Griffith Community, she was a homemaker and the widow of the late Robert "Bob" Gates Kennedy, who passed away August 10, 1981.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy K Webber of West Point; two grandchildren, Walter DeLoach of Madison and Donna D Sims of West Point; six great grandchildren, Trey DeLoach, Rob DeLoach and Scott DeLoach, all of Madison and Benjamin Sims, Bethany Sims and Kristen Sims, all of West Point; two sisters, Mrs. Essie Davidson of West Point and Mrs. Lorene Cliett of Montpelier and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Jewel Hazelwood of Cedar Bluff.

Pallbearers were Benjamin Sims, Trey DeLoach, Rob DeLoach, Andy Lofton, Randy Simmons and Ronnie Kistner.
