**Veteran of the American Revolution**

Decendant in line of Jonathan, Caleb, Abraham son of Reginald Foster who first came from Exeter, Devonshire England and settled in Ipswich, Essex Co., MA 1638.

Mose Foster B: 3 April 1755, Topsfield, Hillsborough Co., MA to Jonathan Foster and Dorcas Perkins. It was Jonathan Foster that was the first Foster in our Foster family linage to relocate the family to Topsfield, MA. On the 19 April 1775 Mose was one of the men that marched to Lexington, also including to Quebec. Mass. Revolutionary War Rolls:14:22:92:3:5. Coat Rolls 95. By 1787 Mose was able to purchase 76 acres of land where he built his first home (see Hillsborough Deeds, 21: 179). He built a new home around 1779 a few mile from his older house.( Where he lived out the rest of his life, this house is still standing by the loving care of the two resent owners.) On the 30th of April in 1789 Moses married Mary "Polly" Fuller the daughter of Timothy Foster and Sarah Smith of Middleton, MA together they had four children.
